45 year old male, incidental finding on OPG.

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

Panoramic radiograph (OPG)

Well-defined, round/oval radiolucency, medial to the angle of the mandible, inferior to the inferior alveolar canal.

Case Discussion

A Stafne cyst  is lesion involving the mandible represents a cortical defect near the angle of the mandible below the inferior alveolar canal. It is usually an incidental finding and strictly speaking it is not a cyst (as it does not contain any fluid).
