Staghorn calculus of the kidney

Staghorn calculus (coronal width 75 x 45 mm) filling the left renal pelvis and calyces.
There is also a small calculus up to 1.5 mm in the right kidney lower pole and a small cyst in the right kidney middle pole as well.
Case Discussion
This case illustrates non-contrast MDCT features of the renal staghorn calculus or coral calculus. These calculi usually occur in a setting of recurrent urinary tract infections. The gold standard treatment for these types of stones is surgery 1.
