The CTU demonstrates:
- left staghorn calculus with moderate hydronephrosis
- right kidney (history of nephrectomy for staghorn calculus with non-functioning kidney)
- herniation of the liver (segment 6) and abdominal fat through a defect of the right posterolateral abdominal wall at the superior lumbar triangle.
Case Discussion
CT features a left staghorn calculus with moderate hydronephrosis and secondary acquired right lumbar hernia at the superior lumbar triangle (also known as the triangle of Grynfeltt-Lesshaft) in a patient with a history of right nephrectomy.
