Presentation

Persistent pain with tenderness of the medial aspect of the left knee following knee injury 3 weeks ago.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

A small linear bony avulsion at the medial femoral condyle is noted. No soft tissue swelling. The joint space is preserved.

Stieda fracture refers to a bony avulsion injury of the medial femoral condyle at the site the medial collateral ligament insertion.
