A transverse fracture involving the metadiaphysis of the MT-5 approximately 3.0 cm away from the styloid process with mild adjacent cortical thickening.
Case Discussion
The location and appearance of this fracture is typical for MT-5 stress fracture. Note the mild focal cortical thickening is indicative of pre-existing stress reaction.
