Presentation

Skin discoloration of the right side of the face.

Patient Data

Age: 5 years
Gender: Female

Gyriform calcifications of the right posterior parietal and right occipital lobes, having a characteristic ‘tram-track’ like appearance.

Right parieto-temporo-occipital widened extra-axial CSF spaces associated with leptomeningeal enhancement and multiple small vascular channels. Choroid plexus enlargement and cysts.

Consistent with the clinical diagnosis of Sturge Weber syndrome

Case Discussion

Various CT and MRI imaging findings can be seen in Sturge-Weber syndrome such as gyriform calcifications, ipsilateral brain atrophy, leptomeningeal enhancement, as well as ipsilateral choroid plexus enlargement.
