Long standing shoulder pain and swelling

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female

Extensive osteodegenerative changes involving glenohumeral joint in the form of larger periarticular osteophytosis and fraying of bursal fibres of supraspinatus tendon. Large volume clear fluid seen in subdeltoid bursa communicating with subacromial bursa. 

Case Discussion

Fine case of delineation of the subacromial and subdeltoid bursae, their direct communication and extent of possible distension in long standing shoulder immobility.
