Subacute subdural hematoma

Left frontal and parietal burr holes.
Large left sided isodense subdural hematoma with marked compression and displacement of the lateral ventricles with subfalcine herniation.
No acute hemorrhage.
Case Discussion
This case isn't subtle, but isodense subdural hematomas (subacute) can be the most difficult to identify as the appearances is similar to brain matter.
The so called 'banana shaped' appearance of a subdural hematoma is well illustrated.
Surgery was performed the following day.
