Subacute subdural hematoma

Presentation

10 days history of headaches, diplopia, and weakness of the left upper limb and right lower limb.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
MRI

Crescent-shaped right frontoparietal subdural collection (thickness= 3 cm) of high signal intensity on T1WI, T2WI and FLAIR sequences is present, with internal septations of low signal, indicating a late subacute subdural hematoma (methemoglobin free). Note the mass effect on the midline structures with dilatation of the contralateral ventricular system.
