Subarachnoid hemorrhage is seen as hyperdense material filling both Sylvian fissures and frontal sulci (mainly on the left). Mild enlargement of the ventricular system (3rd and lateral ventricles) with no evidence of intraventricular hemorrhage.
The CTA with 3D-VR demonstrates a saccular aneurysm of the anterior communicating artery (ACOM) measuring (11 x 9 mm) with a narrowed neck measuring 3 mm.
Hypoplastic A1 segment of the right anterior cerebral artery (normal variant). The remainder of the arterial circle of Willis is unremarkable.
Case Discussion
CT features of subarachnoid hemorrhage from a saccular aneurysm of the anterior communicating artery (ACOM).
