Right vertebral artery demonstrates biphasic flow with proximal stenosis (>70%)
Left vertebral artery demonstrates high-velocity flow.
Findings are augmented by inflation of BP cuff on the right upper limb and release.
Case Discussion
Subclavian steal syndrome results from occlusion or severe stenosis of the proximal subclavian artery resulting in retrograde flow in the ipsilateral vertebral artery.
