Left shoulder pain following trauma

Patient Data

Age: 25 years old
Gender: Male
mri

Narrow coracohumeral distance measures 6.5 mm (Normal > 10 mm).

Case Discussion

The findings in this case are consistent with subcoracoid impingement.

This occurs when the subscapularis tendon impinges between the coracoid and lesser tuberosity of the humerus.  

The normal coracohumeral distance measures > 10 mm in asymptomatic patients.
