Subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator. Lungs and pleural spaces are clear. Normal cardiomediastinal contour.

Subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) are an alternative to implantable ICDs, especially in patients who require preservation of central veins (e.g. chemotherapy, dialysis), have a mechanical heart valve, congenital heart disease or other contraindication.
