CT of the brain demonstrates bilateral subdural hemorrhages which on the right is almost isodense with the adjacent brain. After administration of contrast, the collections are easier to appreciate.
Giving contrast often helps better delineate isodense subdural collections, by not only rendering the cortex hyperdense but also outlining the vessels. In this case, a CTA was performed, showing the vessels (which travel in the subarachnoid space) displaced centrally by the collections.
