Subependymal grey matter heterotopia and bilateral arachnoid cysts

Age: 10 years
Gender: Male

A small ovoid subependymal nodule (10 x 9 x 6 mm) bulges into the right lateral ventricle. It is isointense to cortical grey matter on all sequences without enhancement.

Note small bilateral extra-axial cysts of the cerebellopontine angles (CPA) of CSF signal intensity on all sequences with no restricted diffusion, measuring (17 x 14 x 13 mm) on the right, and (23 x 21 x 17 mm) on the left in keeping with bilateral CPA arachnoid cysts - an incidental finding.
