A subependymal sheet of abnormal SI is seen along the occipital and temporal horns of the right lateral ventricle which is iso-intense to the cortex in all pulse sequences. A similar more miniature sheet is seen along the inferior medial aspect of the right temporal lobe.
Case Discussion
Subependymal heterotopia is characterized by nodules of gray matter located immediately beneath the ependyma of the lateral ventricular. In MRI, it appears as an ovoid or band-like nodule abutting the ventricular wall. It results in an irregular ventricular outline.
