Small well-defined oval shape mildly hyperechoic lesion measuring 3 x 17 mm in the subcutaneous soft tissues of the scalp in the right frontal region (site of patient's complain of swelling). No cystic components or calcifications are seen in it. No internal vascularity is seen in it on color Doppler ultrasound examination. Underlying skull bone is grossly intact.

The patient went for a local excision of the lesion and it was confirmed to be a lipoma histopathologically.
Case Discussion
Sonographic features were suggestive of a subgaleal lipoma; however, the patient went for excision due to cosmetic reasons.
