Asymmetric enlargement of the left submandibular gland with surrounding fat stranding, edema and enlarged nodes. A tiny fluid density focus is within the sublingual space, just deep to the mylohyoid and just to the left of the midline.

The patient was admitted under the care of the ENT surgeons and treated for sialadenitis.
