Submetatarsal bursitis

Swelling on planter aspect of great toe - Few days. Non-traumatic.

Patient Data

Age: about 40 yrs
Gender: Female

A lesion with well-defined wall and internal mobile echoes is noted superficial to 1st metatarsal head and superficial to seasmoid. Local hypervascularity is noted.

No joint effusion.

No tenosynovitis.

Case Discussion

Findings suggest sub-metatarsal bursitis.
