Large anterior submucosal fibroid, distorting the endometrium.
Case Discussion
The submucosal location and endometrial distortion is clinically relevant and is likely related to the patient's dysmenorrhea.
Although the lesion displays Venetian blind artefact, which is typically related to adenomyosis, the defined margin and splaying of vessels, as well as absence of any other adenomyotic or endometriotic features support the suspicion that this is a fibroid rather than adenomyoma.
