Macrocephaly, vomiting, possible seizure

Patient Data

Age: 4 months
Gender: Female

Bilateral subdural fluid collections. Small, thin, right subdural hematoma. Left superior orbital hematoma.

Case Discussion

Orbital hematomas can result from trauma as well as from systemic disease, vascular malformations, and increased intracranial venous pressure. This infant had increased intracranial venous pressure due to both macrocephaly and vomiting.
