Sugar coating on the top of a bakery product - the sprinkled effect illustrated which also looks a little like un-touched snow.

Case Discussion

Sugar coating (zuckerguss) is the term used to describe the appearance of leptomeningeal metastases.

On contrast enhanced MRI and CT the tiny enhancing nodules (tumour seeding) appears like sugar coated on the surfaces of he brain or spinal cord.
