Presentation
Patient complains of a pulsatile right preauricular mass that was noted in the last month.
Patient Data
CT angiogram shows a saccular dilatation in relationship with the main trunk of the STA.
Case Discussion
This patient has a previous brain CT from about 6 months ago, made on ER in a context of trauma. No significant findings on that study.
The clinical diagnosis of a superficial temporal artery pseudoaneurysm is based on a history of trauma or surgery to the temporal region and subsequent development of a preauricular pulsatile mass, like in this case.
Waiting for pathology confirmation of being a pseudoaneurysm.
