Recurrent episodes of vomiting.

Patient Data

Age: 10 years
Gender: Female

The 3rd part of the duodenum is compressed between the aorta and the superior mesenteric artery with consequential dilatation of the proximal duodenum and stomach.

Specific measurements


Reduced aortomesenteric distance and aortomesenteric angle measuring 4 mm and 20 degrees, respectively.

Normally, the aortomesenteric angle and aortomesenteric distance are 25-60° and 10-28 mm, respectively.
