Superior periorbital traumatic haematoma and swelling

Head trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 47-yer-old
Gender: Female

There is a right frontal subgaleal haematoma in continuity with oedema and haematoma enlarging the soft tissue in the superior periorbital region (superior palpebrae). The intracranial structures are unremarkable. 

Case Discussion

This case exemplifies a large focal superior peri-orbital swelling and haematoma as a consequence of a direct blunt trauma. There is only involvement of the local soft tissue, without bone or intracranial repercussions.
