Case Discussion

This is a case of bilateral superior semicircular canal dehiscence. The patient underwent a right temporal craniotomy for repair for the right semicircular canal dehiscence. Intraoperatively, a tegmen tympani defect with encephalocele was identified. Neurosurgery then performed a repair for the encephalocele and small CSF leak. The patient did well post-operatively. He continues to have fullness in his right ear, but this has been decreasing since the procedure.
