Presentation

Prominent superficial chest wall veins.

Patient Data

Age: 58 years
Gender: Male

The anterior and middle mediastinum on the right, in its tissue, at the  level of the lateral wall of the aortic arch, megres with superior vena cava, reaching the wall of the right pulmonary artery is visualized uneven, non-uniform structure mass, approximate dimensions 6.3x4.2 cm, density +6....+56 HU. Significantly, the results of studies  of native,we  not can exclude invasion into vessels, as well as trombosis superior vena cava. Cellular tissue mediastinal is tightened, the countours of the braciocephalic, the superior vena cava blurred, their contents heightened  density. In the pleural cavity on both  sides is determined by the content, density  -15...+20 HU. The small amout of pericardial fluid content. The lymph nodes of the mediastinum to the size of 1.6 cm.

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates a tumor of the mediastinum with obstruction superior vena cava, bilateral chilotorax, perhaps with trombosis.
