Supernumerary teeth

Case contributed by Dr. Reinier Leendertz

Supernumerary teeth

Patient Data

Age: 13
Gender: Male

Supernumerary tooth located in the maxillary arch, adjacent to a hypoplastic right upper cuspid.

Case Discussion

Although the clinical diagnosis was obvious, the usual panoramic projection did not show enough detail of the true morphology of the supernumerary tooth and its relationship to the nearby cuspid.

There was no clinical suspicion of sinus disease.
