Gender: Male
Nuclear medicine

Diffuse tracer uptake in the axial skeleton, pelvis and proximal long bones with lack of tracer activity in the distal long appendicular skeleton as well as the kidneys and bladder.

Case Discussion

The pattern of diffuse increased skeletal uptake with no tracer seen in the kidneys/bladder is called a "superscan". This patient had a known history of prostate cancer with an elevated PSA of 45 ng/mL.
