Suprasellar lipoma

An incidental finding in a routine brain MRI.

Patient Data

Age: 62
Gender: Male
MRI

The sagittal T1 and FLAIR sequences show a hyperintense suprasellar mass with irregular shape. The lesion saturates on the fat saturated T1 in keeping with a lipoma. 

Case Discussion

The case demonstrates an incidental finding of a suprasellar mass with the characteristics of a lipoma. This localisation is one of the well known of intracranial lipoma. No other abnormalities were found.
