Supraspinatous tear

Presentation

Restricted left shoulder movements with pain - 2 yrs.

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
Modality: X-ray
Modality: Ultrasound

Case Discussion

Left shoulder radiograph showing reduced acromio-humeral distance. USG revealed full thickness tear involving entire width of supraspinatous tendon ( US1, US2 ) and fluid in biceps tendon sheath ( US3). Tendon tetraction was about 3 cm.

Asymptomatic or less symptomatic right shoulder was screened for comparision which showed full thickness tear of supraspinatous tendon  ( US4 ).

She was operated for left cuff.
