Presentation

The patient presented with a complaint of painful and restricted abduction of the right shoulder for the last 6 months.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

There is a fluid-filled defect replacing the right supraspinatus tendon. The length of the defect is about 15 mm. The rest of the rotator cuff tendons are intact. The subacromial-subdeltoid bursa shows effusion. There is a presence of an acromian spur.

The asymptomatic left supraspinatus tendon is intact.
