Presentation
Non-traumatic origin of right shoulder pain for the last 2 weeks.
Patient Data
There is a tiny calcification adjacent to the greater tuberosity of the humeral head. The glenohumeral joint space is maintained. There is no fracture/ dislocation. There is a sclerotic focus at the surgical neck of the humerus which probably represents a bone island.
The rotator cuff is intact. There is a calcification focus (about 4 mm) in the supraspinatus tendon. There is no effusion in the subacromial-subdeltoid bursa.
Case Discussion
An adult male presented with the non-traumatic origin of right shoulder pain. X-Ray and ultrasound show rotator cuff calcific tendinosis.
