There is a full-thickness U-shaped tear of the supraspinatous tendon with subluxation of the posterior component of the supraspinatous tendon under a completely torn infraspinatus tendon. The anterior tendon is in the rotator interval. Marked volume loss of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus muscle bellies with associated moderate fatty atrophy. The footplates of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons are completely eroded.

Case Discussion

Only SAG imaging provided. Nice example of a degenerative U-shaped tear of SSP.
