Swallowed coin foreign body with situs inversus

Presentation

Swallowed coin.

Patient Data

Age: 6 years
Gender: Male

Solitary round metallic foreign body in the RUQ. Dextrocardia, mirror image mainsteam bronchi and left hemidiaphragm higher than the right suggest situs inversus, in which case the foreign body is likely projected in the stomach. 

No pneumoperitoneum, pneumothorax or pneumoediastinum.

Case Discussion

Nice case of a swallowed coin without complication. The patient was known to have situs inversus.
