Hitherto unclassified skeletal dysplasia. Referred by paediatric surgeon.

Patient Data

Age: 1
Gender: Male
X-ray

Bilateral osseous fusion of  the IVth and Vth metacarpals and the IIIrd and IVth middle and distal phalanges. Soft-tissue fusion of the IInd and IIIrd fingers. Adduction contractures of both hypoplastic thumbs (superposed).

Case Discussion

Bilateral syndactyly with osseous fusion of  the 4th and 5th metacarpals and the 3rd and 4th middle and distal phalanges. Soft-tissue fusion of the 2nd and 3rd fingers. Adduction contractures of both hypoplastic thumbs which were superposed on these images.
