Presentation

Patient came with foot anomalies, noticed by mother.

Patient Data

Age: 4 months
Gender: Male
x-ray

Soft tissue syndactyly of first 2 digits.

Hypoplastic middle phalanx and pointed terminal phalanx of 2nd digit.

Medial subluxation of distal phalanx over middle phalanx.

Forefoot adduction.

Case Discussion

Syndactyly is a congenital anomaly in which two or more fingers or toes are fused together. It can occur in any part of the hand or foot, and can affect one or both sides. The degree of fusion can vary, with some fingers or toes being completely fused, and others only partially fused.
