Presentation

Swelling of the right knee with limited joint mobility.

Patient Data

Age: 9 years
Gender: Female
mri

Well-defined lobulated soft tissue mass located in the suprapatellar recess of low signal on T1, high signal on PD fat sat with low signal intensity linear structures within representing most likely fibrous septa or vascular channels. The postcontrast sequences show progressive and heterogeneous enhancement. No significant joint effusion.

Normal appearance of both menisci, cruciate and collateral ligaments.

Popliteal lymph nodes are noted.
