There are multiple concretional calcified masses in the suprapatellar bursa. There is degenerative change in the patellofemoral joint as well.
Case Discussion
The presence of multiple concenctric calcified masses in the suprapatellar bursa is in keeping with synovial osteochondromatosis.
Occasionally the differential between a bone infarct and an enchondroma can be difficult on AP film; howeve in lateral projection as in this example, synovial osteochondromatosis and enchondroma are easily differentiated.
