Takayasu renal arteritis

Presentation

Young hypertensive woman, referred for evaluation of hypertension. She clinically had features of pulseless disease.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
mri

Her ultrasound images showed a small left kidney. MR urography confirmed a small left kidney and normal sized right kidney. MR aortography showed narrowed left renal artery and aortic involvement.

Case Discussion

The combination of abdominal aortic stenosis with renal artery involvement and hypertension suggests mid-aortic syndrome
