Presentation

Patient presented with hip pain after falling.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

No bony lesion, normal alignment and no fracture can be seen. 

Case Discussion

While no apparent reason for the patient's hip pain could be identified, the considerate radiologist noticed the tampon-shaped object projected on the symphysis. Not shy to ask, he was informed that it was indeed a tampon.
