Temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis

Right jaw pain.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

Osteoarthritis of the right temporomandibular joint characterized by condylar flattening, subchondral sclerosis and marginal osteophyte formation. There are less severe changes seen on the left. Anterior translation is limited on the right compared to the left. 

Case Discussion

Temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis is a fairly common cause of jaw pain.
