Presentation
Right palmar nodule noticed for the last few weeks. No trauma/ pain/ restricted finger movement.
Patient Data
There is a well-defined solid lesion in the region of interest - the radial side of the palm overlying the 2nd metacarpus. It measures about 20 x 16 x 15 mm. The lesion abuts the index finger flexor tendon. The lesion is mildly heterogeneous, hypoechoic without calcification/ cystic changes/ compressibility. There are few peripheral flow signals. There is a possible external mass effect on the 2nd metacarpus cortex.
The photo shows excised lesion from the palm.
Case Discussion
A middle-aged female presented with a painless palmar nodule. The ultrasound shows a solid lesion. Surgical excision was done. Histopathology suggested a tenosynovial giant cell tumor.
