This pregnant patient was involved in a high velocity MVA and underwent a trauma CT (had a pubic bone fracture).
Case Discussion
Although daunting for all involved, in the setting of significant trauma it is important to appropriately image the mother and accept the radiation dose to the fetus. Many departments have physicists that can help determine dose to the fetus and inform the patient and treating units of the implication of such a dose.
