Terminal ileitis

The terminal ileum is thick walled. Remainder of the bowel is normal. Enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes, along the ileocolic artery. No free fluid or free gas.
Case Discussion
The cause for terminal ileitis is not known in this case as the patient was followed-up at a different facility. There is a very long list for the differential diagnosis of terminal ileitis but the most common cause is Crohn disease.
