Fracture-dislocation of the elbow:
- ulnohumeral articulation is posteriorly dislocated
- radial neck fracture that is severely displaced with the proximal fracture fragment rotated 90 degrees superiorly
- bony fragments anterior to the trochlea and coronoid process are likely from the coronoid tip
Extensive soft tissue gas, indicative of open fracture.
Case Discussion
Terrible triad of the elbow consists of:
- posterior elbow dislocation
- radial head fracture
- cornoid process fracture
