Testicular abscess

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Left scrotal pain. High grade fever.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

Left testis is enlarged and shows multiple thick walled hypoechoic lesions consistent with abscesses. Left epididymis is also mildly bulky with increased color flow. Right testis and epididymis are normal.

Case Discussion

Testicular abscess is usually a complication of severe epididymo-orchitis and needs to be distinguished from other testicular pathology that may present with similar clinical or imaging features.
