Testicular mixed germ cell tumour

Presentation

The patient had noticed a mass in his right testicle 2 weeks ago. Ultrasound examination was inconclusive.

Age: 20
Gender: Male

Case Discussion

MRI showed patchy hypointensities within the right testicle on T2-weighted images, but no circumscript lesion (Fig. 1). T1-weighted imaging didn't clearly show an abnormality (Fig. 2). After contrast, a rim-enhancing mass with central necrosis could be seen (Fig. 3). Orchidectomy was performed. A mixed germ cell tumour was diagnosed by histologic examination.
