Testicular torsion

Non-traumatic left hemiscrotal pain for one week. No fever.

Patient Data

Age: about 17 yrs
Gender: Male

Left testis is diffusely hypoechoic. There is no vascularity on Power Doppler imaging. There was twisting of intra-scrotal spematic cord.

Right testis is normal in echopattern. It shows normal vascularity.

Case Discussion

Ultrasound findings favor left testicular infarction due to torsion.

Surgery revealed non-viable testis.
