The left testis is mal-oriented in position. It shows no intraparenchymal vascularity, no perfusion either by pulsed or power Doppler studies. No detectable vascularity also in the distal part of the left spermatic cord. The corresponding left epididymis appeared enlarged in size. Evidence of associated slight left reactive hydrocoele.
The right testis of normal size, position and homogenous echopattern. It shows good intraparenchymal vascularity.
Case Discussion
Left acute testicular torsion. The patient underwent urgent operative intervention and the left testis could be de-torsed and saved.
